Trying vs Training
The difference between trying and training? A powerful mindset that leads to action.
Trying is meant for first-time events. Training is when you practice doing something you have already tried.
So you don’t try to get out of bed early if you’ve already been doing it. You train yourself to get out of bed early.
Trying is for a new food or a new sport or a new practice. After you do it once and go back to do it again, you no longer try--you train.
We train the soul & spirit through reading God’s word, consistent prayer, worship, and other spiritual practices or disciplines.
We train the body & mind through exercise, meditating on and memorizing Scripture, and other habits and disciplines.
Stop trying. Start training.
